If you've run out of knotches on your strap for your lace cover it can be fixed. Here you can see a standard lace cover.
Here I am cutting the existing lace cover off the boot.
Here you can see how much I cut off the existing lace cover and next I will sew it back on.
Here is the machine (repair machine) needed to sew into an existing boot.
Here I'm sewing the lace cover back on.
Here you can see the cover sewn back on and you can see the piece I took out. You should now have around 4 more clicks to work with on the boot ratchet.
