The FR Skates SL Speed V1 is the first SL Speed, a very light, low carbon boot with FR's first heat moldable integrated Intuition liner. It mounts a 165mm frame.

Sizing

The FR SL Speed V1 comes in sizes 12 to 13.5. Measure your foot and order the size for your foot length in FR's chart below. Foot length gives a more accurate size than your street shoe size. If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger size.

How to measure your foot

Put a sheet of paper on a hard floor against a wall. Stand with your heel against the wall and mark the tip of your longest toe. Measure from the wall to the mark in inches or centimeters. Measure both feet and use the longer one.

In a good fit, the toes lie flat and can touch the front of the boot without pressing on it.

How does the FR SL Speed V1 fit?

Measure your foot and order the size that matches your foot length in FR's chart. Between two sizes, choose the larger size.

Can the liner be heat molded?

Yes. The Intuition foam molds to your foot as you skate, and it can be heat molded over the whole foot or just one spot. FR says to try both skates on first with any insole you plan to use, and to mold only if they fit.

How is it different from the SL Speed?

The FR SL Speed is the newer model, built on FR's Race V2 shell with a lowered carbon cuff and 13-hole mounting plates.
